The Sacraments

Baptism: Baptism is given to members of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church only. Godparents must be traditional catholics in good standing with the Church.

Penance: Confessions are heard 45 minutes before Sunday Mass, and 30 minutes before Mass on Saturdays, Holy Days and all evening Masses; also, by appointment with the Priest.

Holy Eucharist: To receive Holy Communion, one must be fasting from food and alcoholic drinks for 3 hours and other drinks (with the exception of water) for 1 hour prior to receiving Communion. Please see the priest about any dispensation. One must be baptized Catholic, in the state of grace and dressed appropriately.

Confirmation: This sacrament is conferred by the Most Reverend Bishop Pivarunas, CMRI each year during his annual visit.
​
Matrimony: This sacrament is granted only for parishioners of the Sacred Heart of Jesus parish. Please contact the pastor no less than six months prior to the proposed date of the wedding.
​
Extreme Unction / Vistitaion of the Sick: Please contact Father when one is gravely ill or unable to attend church.
